Learning Thai – Elementary Thai Classes

The second level of Thai lessons build on what students learned in book 1. In class, we begin to focus on simple conversational structure, trying to help our students understand and speak simple Thai. Students learn how to speak using grammar points and vocabulary from the book. Students also begin to learn how to read and write Thai characters, taking what the students learnt in the beginner lessons and putting that into practise by beginning to focus on Thai spelling. Similar to the beginner lessons, these are designed to be involving and stimulating, putting emphasis on active group learning and trail and error.

These classes are more conversational in nature. Students are introduced to a story in the book, which they interact with as characters from the story, learning basic conversational structures. Vocabulary is learned through repetition and role-play.
