If you are planning to extend your Thai Education visa, you can conveniently do so at the nearest immigration office. Unlike the tourist visa, which requires time-consuming and costly border runs, the ED visa extension process is more straightforward. Additionally, unlike a business visa, you won’t need a minimum of 50,000 TBH in your bank account or be obligated to pay taxes.

The Thai Education visas are known for their flexibility, allowing you to extend your stay in the country for up to 1 year. After this period, you can apply for a new yearly ED Visa and continue doing so for a maximum of 5 years.

However, it’s essential to be aware of the new rules that have been implemented. To meet the criteria for the ED visa, you must attend your school or course for a minimum of 8 hours per week. Many applicants choose a 100-hour course and progress to the next level once completed. Our courses offer various lengths and difficulty levels, with a structured approach that includes both conversational and textbook work, making it 4 hours a week for each aspect. Although it may not seem like much initially, the consistent effort adds up, and most students notice significant improvements in their speech compared to when they began the course.

If you plan to leave and re-enter Thailand while holding a Non-Immigrant ED Visa, you can obtain a re-entry permit from a Thai Immigration Office or International Airport. The cost for a single re-entry permit is 1,000 Baht.

For a smooth and hassle-free experience with your visa extension and other immigration services, you can seek assistance from a reputable Thailand visa agent or visa agency. Such companies can help you navigate the visa requirements and obtain necessary permits, including work permits if needed, making your stay in Thailand more convenient and enjoyable.

Courses including ED visas
