Our Ministry of Education licensed Thai language lessons work on a 5 level difficulty rating. You will be placed into the corresponding class depending on your entry skill level to help you to learn quickly and efficiently with students who are of a similar language level. The Thai language courses levels, similar to the European 6 levels of language, are as follows:

Before you join one of our Thai courses and begin to learn Thai, you will be required to take part in our own Thai Language placement test. This 1 hour test will help us group you within a class of similar ability students and with the right course book for your level.

The Thai language course covers a wide variety of Thai language modules, from reading and writing to conversational and situational speech. The speaking aspect of the course takes up 4 hours per week and aim to improve your speaking and listening capabilities, expand your vocabulary, clear your pronunciation and give you real life situations and material to work with. Going to the shops, songs, TV, films etc.

The other 4 hours will be spent on your reading and writing understanding of Thai. We use 2 text books, one of which is custom made by our school and the other is a newly purchased version of ‘Advanced Thai Grammar’. They include learning the alphabet, grammar rules, recognizing words and other script based exercises.

Each courses runs on a 200 hour per level basis, beginning to end, which working at 8 hours per week is 6 months’ worth of lessons. We highly recommend you take part in one full course at a time to qualify for the Education Visa, due to taking a smaller, 3 month 100 hour courses would not qualify under the new Thai visa regulations. The new regulations state that you must have 8 hours per week learning quota if you plan on staying here for 6 months or more, meaning 100 hours would not prove adequate for the 6 month stay.

We are fully committed to giving you the right amount of hours, if you join our course half way through, there will be no problem. You will simply sit through the rest of the course and continue your remaining hours in the next starting course. Just keep in mind if you join a Thai course half way and have no prior experience speaking Thai we will require you to take a catch-up ‘Thai for Everyone’ course.
